Pixelmator
Denoise
Heres how to Denoise an image in Pixelmator Pro
De-noising and De-banding
Noise in photo editing for the most part means dealing with grainy images or photos taken in low light conditions where the image lack clarity due to faster shutter speeds and high ISO setting have been used to freeze motion.
And too shadows and images that have been brightened in a photo editor can cause noise in an image.
Denoising can make your images look a little cleaner and sharper
To Denoise a photo in Pixelmator click the More Icon at the top of the Color Adjustment Tool (the circle with three dots in it at the top of tools column) and Choose Denoise in the menu that appears. Or you can Click Format > Denoise from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Or just type Shift ⇧ + Control ⌃ + d on your keyboard
Color banding or image posterization are when unsightly bands of color in a photo are displayed instead of a smooth transition between subtle shades of color. Color banding usually happens in lower-quality images or images with large areas of solid color such as photos of the sky. Pixelmator Pro's Debanding feature enhances image quality by removing those color bands while keeping smaller details intact
To Deband a photo in Pixelmator Pro: Click the More Icon at the top of the Color Adjustment Tool (the circle with three dots in it at the top of tools column) and Choose Deband in the menu that appears. Or you can Click Format > Deband from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Or just type Shift ⇧ + Control ⌃ + b on your keyboard
The Denoise tool gives you an intensity slider and both the Denoise and Deband tool give you a slender white horizontal line down the center that show the original image on the left and how the whole image will appear on the right if you click the Done button.
